Re:              Illness Outbreak Update

Greetings.

We have some good news. The restrictions on Hallowell Hall and Taylor Hall resulting from the recent gastrointestinal virus have been lifted. Thanks to all who complied with the restrictions, with special thanks to the staff working in licensed care through this recent episode.

We have seen some new incidents of illness in the campus clusters and Stony Run Hall over the weekend. As noted previously, a person who has been ill during this outbreak must remain at home for 48 hours after his/her last symptoms. Campus cluster residents are to report symptoms to OPD who will arrange for meal delivery, as needed.  Staff are to report symptoms to their supervisor.

Our current plan includes:

·            Sending trays to all campus cluster and Stony Run residents who are ill, as well as cancelling any scheduled housekeeping or routine maintenance in those apartments;

·            Limiting your visits to Hallowell Hall and Taylor Hall so that we can avoid a recurrence there.  If you do visit, please wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before entering and again upon leaving.

Please see me, Barbara Carroll, Medical Director, Heather Heiler in OPD or Kris George on Hallowell Hall with question.
