Re:              Illness Outbreak Update

Greetings.

In an effort to contain the recent spread of illness in the campus clusters and Stony Run Hall (20 reported incidents), we want to limit group activities. We are preparing for alternate dining arrangements, as noted below. As a result, starting Tuesday, February 7^th and extending through Thursday, February 9^th :

·            All group activities  are cancelled (staff or residents);

·            Holly Terrace and Magnolia Room are closed for seated service;

·            Arbor Café open for takeout meals only;

·            Wellness programs are cancelled and the Fitness Room and pool are closed;

·            The Community Center will remain open for access to mail, banking, etc.

·            As noted previously, a person who has been ill during this outbreak must remain at home for 48 hours after his/her last symptoms. Campus cluster residents are to report symptoms to OPD who will arrange for meal delivery, as needed.  Staff are to report symptoms to their supervisor.

·            Residents who report they are ill will be provided food trays. In addition, we are cancelling scheduled housekeeping and routine maintenance in those apartments;

·            We ask you to limit visits to Hallowell Hall and Taylor Hall can so that we can avoid a recurrence there.  If you do visit, please wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before entering and again upon leaving.
