Madeline Adkins
Madeline Adkins, the daughter of noted musicologists, is the youngest of eight children including four violinists, two cellists, and a soprano. Ms. Adkins received her Bachelor’s summa cum laude from the University of North Texas and her Master’s degree from the New England Conservatory where she studied with James Buswell. She currently is the Associate Concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Jonathan Carney
Jonathan Carney, born in New Jersey, hails from a musical family with all six members having graduated from The Juilliard School. After completing his studies with Ivan Galamian and Christine Dethier, he was awarded a Leverhulme Fellowship to continue his studies in London at the Royal College of Music. Carney currently serves as the Concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. While the violin is his principal instrument, he enjoys playing the viola and will do so at Broadmead on the May 27th.

Pei Lu
Pei Lu, hails from China where she attended a special high school of gifted children. Upon graduating from high school, Lu came to Baltimore to study cello at the Peabody Conservatory of Music. She currently plays with the cello section of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, teaches cello and concertized throughout the mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
